“Carter is very motivated,” Attai said. “I am consistently impressed by his drive for knowledge and appreciation for our history. He is an exemplary student!”

At the state fair, Carter will compete against first and second place winners from regions across Texas. The 2024 contest theme is “Turning Points in History.”
